Kanazawa
Kanazawa was a really nice, quiet city to visit. The whole city is very walkable, I'm not even sure if we caught any buses in the end! We were going to once but missed it and the walk was shorter than the wait, so...

Where to Stay
Hotel Forza Kanazawa
This was a pretty nice hotel. It was walkable from the train station, and close to all the things we wanted to do. The room was actually pretty big, had beds as well as couch etc. I would recommend it, and would stay there again.
What to do
Kenroku-en
We were there in winter, and the gardens were snow covered. It was very beautiful, and I would definitely recommend seeing it in that weather! I can only imagine how good it would also look in the spring!

Omicho Market
I think Pip partially enjoyed this, but was there at a time when we were a bit tired. I took the kids back to the hotel to leave her there, but she also gave up after not too long.
Food
&cafe CMS
We got some fluffy pancakes here as well as coffees and hot chocolates! It was a nice little cafe, not room for many people so we were lucky that we were the only ones there at the time.
Haru
We went to Haru for dinner on our first night. Owned and run by Haru, who was super nice and friendly, the food was really good! We got there right on opening, because kids, but it meant we were the only ones there, which made it nice and easy! If you do stop by, look for a picture of us on the wall!
